Position Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Clinical Infectious Diseases Specialist to support and grow our Infectious Disease portfolio across the DACH region. This hybrid role bridges clinical demand generation and strategic sales enablement, supporting key solutions such as QIAstat® (Syndromic Testing) and QuantiFERON® (Immune Response). You will play a central role in expanding our market presence by collaborating with physicians, laboratories, KOLs, and internal teams to drive adoption and prescription of diagnostic solutions. The ideal candidate combines scientific expertise in molecular diagnostics with a passion for delivering clinical and commercial impact.

Your tasks:

  • Own sales performance: responsible for meeting and exceeding revenue targets and forecasting accuracy for the DACH region.
  • Drive clinical demand generation across specialties including infectious diseases, gastroenterology, pediatrics, pulmonology, and more.
  • Deliver impactful scientific presentations, product trainings, and educational sessions at conferences, hospitals, and symposia.
  • Support implementation of national and international guidelines at hospital and regional levels; collaborate with clinical committees to drive testing prescription volume.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key customers, influencers, and KOLs, both regionally and nationally.
  • Collaborate across departments in a matrix organization (Marketing, Customer Care, Medical Affairs, Field Applications) to ensure customer success and market growth.
  • Conduct market and territory analysis, developing data-driven strategies to expand product footprint and clinical reach in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
  • Serve as a liaison between the lab and the clinic, promoting lab-based diagnostics driven by clinician prescriptions.

Position Requirements

  • Advanced degree in a life science field (MD, PharmD, PhD) or equivalent clinical/scientific background.
  • Prior experience in clinical sales, medical liaison, or medical affairs is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to communicate and present technical/scientific content to diverse audiences, including physicians, laboratorians, and administrators.
  • Strong knowledge of molecular diagnostics, PCR, and infectious disease testing environments.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare systems, clinical practice, and reimbursement dynamics across the DACH region.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (up to 50%), with frequent visits across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
  • Fluent in German and English (both written and verbal).

Please send your CV in English!
