Job Summary
The Desktop Support Technician will provide technical assistance and support to company employees for computer systems, hardware, and software. This role involves troubleshooting desktop and laptop issues, resolving network problems, and ensuring efficient IT operations.
Duties
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware and software
- Provide technical support for issues related to IT equipment
- Troubleshoot hardware and software problems in a timely manner
- Set up new user accounts and profiles and deal with password issues
- Assist in maintaining IT inventory and documentation
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement upgrades and improvements
- Ensure security measures are in place to protect company data
Requirements
- Proficiency in IT support, including knowledge of VPN, TCP/IP, DNS, and computer management
- Experience in providing technical support to end-users
- Familiarity with Windows Server environments and Group Policy Objects (GPO)
- Ability to work with service desk tools like Jira for issue tracking
- Strong customer service skills to interact effectively with employees of all levels
