Job Title: Desktop Support Technician Level 1
Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Desktop Support Technician Level 1 to join our team. This entry-level position is responsible for providing technical support to end-users, ensuring the smooth operation of desktop hardware, software, and peripherals. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with excellent communication skills and a passion for technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level support for technical issues, including hardware, software, and network-related problems.
- Respond to help desk tickets, phone calls, and emails to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, operating systems, and software applications.
- Assist with setting up and maintaining user accounts, email configurations, and access permissions.
- Perform routine maintenance on desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripheral devices.
- Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams or external vendors as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and asset inventory in the ticketing system.
- Provide basic user training on software applications and hardware usage.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure timely resolution of issues and optimize IT processes.
- Stay updated on emerging technology trends and best practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree in IT or related field is preferred.
- CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent is a plus.
- Basic understanding of Windows and/or macOS operating systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and other common business applications.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer service-oriented with the ability to handle users courteously and professionally.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the IT field.
Requirements:
· English and local language are mandatory.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry equipment (e.g., desktops, printers) weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Capability to work in a seated or standing position for extended periods.
Work Hours:
- Full-time.
- May require occasional on-call or after-hours support.
