About the role:
The Finance Business Partner is responsible for providing high quality financial forecasting, insight, reporting, analysis and support to the Austrian LOC.
The individual will act as agile thought partner to the local operating company (LOC) providing financial support on all matters with a focus on:
- Decision support: assure meaningful management reporting combined with proactive and strategic input to help drive performance
- Financial analysis and modeling: identify value drivers and risks & opps, model P&L development for budgeting and reforecasts
- Advise LOC colleagues regarding financial processes (e.g. planning, indirect procurement, order to cash, reporting, business cases etc.)
- Provide support and advice in areas of compliance with financial/ethical requirements
- Maintain a growth mindset and challenge the status quo, exchange best practices with peers within Takeda and apply these for the Austrian LOC.
- Collaborate on regional level for advancement of reporting and planning processes and systems
How you will contribute:
- Providing strategic financial input and leadership to the Austrian LOC to drive business performance and resource allocation to ensure appropriate return on investment
- Focusing on adding value for the business by influencing decisions and identifying opportunities to invest, saving cost, avoiding/ mitigating risks, forecasting future business results, establishing and interpreting leading indicators. Focus to encompass full P&L, including profitability margins
- Establishing and execute monthly financial review process for LOC business and management units, analysing material plan vs. actual variances and expected year-to-go impacts
- Building and reviewing a monthly summary financial overview within LOC finance and proactively providing this with key insights to GM
- Planning and Preparation of the periodic planning exercises in coordination with regional and LOC stakeholders
- Acting as the FP&A point of contact for the Austrian LOC, managing all related regular and ad-hoc requests in close alignment with the local finance team
- Leading and implementing change projects and contributing to the scoping of such programs
- Backing-up LOC Controller in interacting with key resources like TBS, COEs, and financial outsourcing partners to ensure monthly reporting is robust and the financial statements and SOX compliance for the legal entities are timely and accurate

- Minimum 5 years of experience in Financial Planning/Finance/Controlling
- Bachelor’s degree with major in finance/accounting/economics or other related fields
- Strong quantitative and analytical background
- Understanding of advanced concepts/systems related to financial analysis and planning
- Experienced user of planning and reporting and other systems (e.g. ABP, PAX/ PAW, Ariba etc.) as well as SAP
- Prior experience working for a Pharma company is a definite plus
- Advanced Excel skills required, PowerBI and other MS Office skills useful
- Full proficiency in English required, German language skills desirable
