Company Description

The Legal Counsel Compliance is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the organization's compliance program to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.

 

This role involves leading a team to oversee compliance projects, create and update internal policies, conduct training programs, and serve as the primary point of contact for compliance inquiries. The Legal Counsel Compliance also plays a crucial role in identifying and mitigating compliance risks, maintaining accurate documentation, and fostering a culture of ethical behavior and regulatory adherence across the organization. By ensuring that the company complies with international laws and regulations, this position helps protect the organization from legal and reputational risks while promoting a strong ethical framework.

Job Description

Program/Project Involvement

Plan, lead and coordinate the conception, implementation, and company-wide rollout of specific compliance projects. This includes coordinating with various departments to ensure that compliance measures are effectively integrated into all business processes.

Develop, align, and conduct comprehensive training programs, including eLearning initiatives, to raise awareness and educate employees on compliance risks, requirements and best practices. This involves creating training materials, scheduling sessions, and assessing the effectiveness of the training.

Policy and Guideline Development

Plan, lead and coordinate the creation, development, and updating of internal policies and corporate guidelines. Ensure these documents are in line with current laws and regulations, internal requirements, as well as best practices in compliance management.

Compliance Inquiries

Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance-related inquiries from all levels of the organization. Provide expert advice and guidance on compliance issues and ensure that all inquiries are addressed promptly and accurately.

Documentation & Compliance Communication

Ensure adherence to legal documentation requirements, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all compliance activities.

Lead internal compliance communications by creating informative content and updates to keep employees informed about compliance matters.

Risk Analysis, Monitoring and Reporting

Coordinate the development, execution, and evaluation of compliance risk analyses. This includes identifying potential compliance risks, assessing their impact, and developing strategies to mitigate these risks.

Monitor compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies across the organization. Prepare and present reports on compliance activities, findings, and recommendations to senior management and the board of directors.

Compliance Network 

Build up and work closely with a network of compliance ambassadors at all affiliates and subsidiaries globally covering Red Bull’s beverage business and corporate projects to ensure that compliance measures are effectively integrated into all business processes.

Training Programs

Develop, align, and conduct comprehensive training programs, including eLearning initiatives, to raise awareness and educate employees on compliance risks, requirements and best practices. This involves creating training materials, scheduling sessions, and assessing the effectiveness of the training.

Interdepartmental Collaboration 

Work closely with other departments, such as Legal, Finance, Operations, Procurement, IT, Sales, Marketing, Human Resources, and Internal Audit, to ensure a cohesive approach to compliance across the organization. Provide support and guidance to these departments on compliance-related matters.

Stay abreast of legal developments and changes in laws and regulations that may affect the organization’s compliance obligations. Continuously seek ways to improve the compliance program and ensure that it remains effective and up to date.

External Relations

Liaise with external regulatory bodies and agencies as needed. Ensure that the organization’s compliance practices are aligned with regulatory expectations and address any issues or concerns raised by these bodies.

Qualifications

At least 3-5 years of professional experience in the legal field, with a focus on compliance.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in overseeing legal compliance risk management, with an emphasis on areas such as anti- corruption & bribery, antitrust- & competition law, supply chain and ESG compliance, sanctions & trade compliance, data protection, cyber security & IT compliance, human rights protection, AI and digital innovation regulations.

Experience in developing, implementing, and managing compliance programs (incl. compliance communication & network strategies) and initiatives within a corporate environment.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex legal and compliance issues and develop effective solutions.

Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Proficiency in using compliance management software and tools, as well as standard office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).

Highly self-motivated and proactive, with a strong sense of responsibility and a results-oriented approach.

Ability to think critically and strategically about compliance risks and opportunities, and to develop innovative solutions to address them.

Ability to stay current with changes in laws and regulations, and to adapt compliance programs accordingly.

Additional Information

Due to legal reasons we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary according to the collective agreement for this position, which is EUR 2,471 gross per month. However, our attractive compensation package is based on market-oriented salaries and is therefore significantly above the stated minimum salary.
