II. Main Responsibilities
As a team member, whether on a divisional, cross-functional or cross sectoral level, the incumbent shall carry out the following activities to achieve the results of the Division and the outcomes of Directorate:
- Corporate performance and results monitoring and reporting: i) design and develop corporate Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) guidance, strategy, criteria, systems and tools for Technical Cooperation (TC) programmes and projects; ii) support the execution of comprehensive monitoring plans to track performance across UNIDO operations, in particular the Technical Cooperation portfolio and identify potential challenges; iii) promote Results-Based Management and corporate Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) culture to ensure effectiveness at the country, programme and project level; iv) provide strategic and technical guidance to TC and field personnel on issues related to M&E so that they support and contribute to corporate performance and results monitoring, reporting, and self-evaluation; v) prepare analytical reports on UNIDO performance and results at corporate level; vi) participate in programme/project M&E missions; vii) act as focal point for M&E and coordinate M&E work within the Organization, linking corporate, country, and programme/project levels.
- Analyze data and generate reports: collect, analyze, and interpret data to produce detailed reports on the alignment of UNIDO operations to its Monitoring and Reporting policy with related performance metrics.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues: Identify technical problems promptly and collaborate with relevant organizational units to address them to ensure minimal disruption, in particular to the Technical Cooperation portfolio.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with IT, technical divisions, and other units to ensure effective monitoring and communication of system status.
- Develop training materials and provide training and support: Lead the training and support offered to team members and colleagues on monitoring tools and best practices.
- Gender mainstreaming: Take responsibility for promoting gender transformative management, lead by example, integrate gender considerations in all activities and ensuring the equal participation of women and men in all areas of work to advance gender equality and the empowerment of women at institutional and programmatic level.
- Other Special Projects: Perform other special projects and assignments, draft reports, and undertake research and arrange training activities, as required by the Unit/Division.

IV. Minimum Organizational Requirements
- A minimum of seven (7) years of experience, including some at least three (3) at the international level, involving technical cooperation programmes and projects in developing countries, is required.
- Experience in all phases of project cycle, is required.
- Experience in monitoring and evaluation, in particular in relation to the implementation of technical cooperation projects, is required.
- A proven track record in gender equality and the empowerment of women is required.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement, policy implementation, and cross-functional coordination is highly desirable.
- Good communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively is highly desirable.
Languages: Fluency in written and spoken English and at least another UNIDO working language, is required. An additional UNIDO working language is desirable.
