Your personal sphere of influence:

As a University Assistant PostDoc you will be part of the research team of the professorship of Ancient Philosophy of Prof. Dr. George Karamanolis. The main research areas associated with this professorship are: The philosophy of Aristotle with special emphasis on his theory of the soul and epistemology.

Your duties will include active participation in research, teaching and administration at the Department of Philosophy in the research area of Ancient Philosophy.

The duration of the contract at the time of employment is 4 years.

Your future tasks:

You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means:

You build up an independent research profile in the field of Ancient Philosophy

You are involved in research projects and scientific studies

You are involved in the organization of conventions, conferences and symposia

You publish internationally and give lectures
• .
You apply for projects and raise third-party funds

You prepare and complete a publication-ready habilitation

You hold courses independently within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement

You supervise students

You participate in evaluation measures and in quality assurance

You take on administrative tasks in research and teaching as well as in the department
