Job Description


WHAT YOU'LL DO

As an Area Controller Trainee, you will be trained to become an Area Controller. In this role, you will work closely with the Area Team to reach the sales and profit goals in your Area by ensuring that stores deliver a great customer experience. Step by step, you will be introduced to key controlling topics and learn how to combine operational excellence with a strong business mindset.

You will:

  • Set budgets for the financial sales plan, efficiency KPIs, and store costs together with Store Management and in line with Country goals.
  • Proactively forecast sales and cost development for the coming three months and take action based on your analysis.
  • Create hourly function plans together with Store Management to enable strong store operations, efficiency, and a great customer experience.
  • Ensure consistent execution by continuously aligning function plans, staff schedules, and contract structures.

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
As part of the Area Team, you will collaborate with various stakeholders, including Store Management, the Country Controller, HR, and Merchandising. You will work closely with the team to ensure that all stores in your area perform at their best and that operational strategies are in line with country goals.

You will also partner with the Area Team to identify, develop, and train talent, helping to foster a collaborative environment where performance can thrive.

WHO YOU ARE
We are looking for people who...

  • have completed a degree in Business Administration, Controlling, Finance etc. or have first relevant professional experience, ideally in retail, FMCG, banking or similar industries.
  • possess advanced skills in Excel and skills in Power BI.
  • are proficient in English (mandatory), German would be a plus.

This is a full-time position, starting on the 1st of September 2025. The role is a hybrid role, based in Vienna, Graz or Innsbruck, with the expectation of working from our office for three days per week.
