Group Director of Controlling (m/f/d)
As Group Director of Controlling, you hold overall responsibility for cost controlling and for analyzing the key financial indicators of all hotels and campsites within the FMTG Group according to USALI, up to Net Profit.
You will proactively and continuously develop the efficiency and effectiveness of the Controlling department – by both supporting the personal and professional growth of your Cluster Controllers and driving the optimization of controlling processes.
In close collaboration with the central accounting departments (country-specific), you ensure seamless cooperation between Accounting and Controlling with the goal of delivering financial statements (e.g., monthly closings) in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner. You report directly to the Managing Director Finance (FMTG Services GmbH).
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the timely delivery of precise and relevant information (e.g., monthly financial statements) to internal (management) and external (hotel/campsite owners) stakeholders
- Preparation of monthly forecasts for all hotels and campsites as well as the annual budget including mid-term planning (incl. investment planning)
- Safeguard the preparation of monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual financial statements in close collaboration with the central accounting departments
- Guarantee compliance with the USALI (11th Edition) reporting standard across all hotel reporting
- Support the central accounting teams in meeting accounting standards (e.g., by providing training to Cluster Controllers)
- Preparation of financial KPIs for the quarterly supervisory board reports
- Creation of ad-hoc analyses and management reports
- Ensure smooth and result-oriented collaboration between Cluster Controllers and internal stakeholders, such as General Managers
- Drive the ongoing development of the Controlling department as the “Business Partner of Choice” within the organization
- Functional and disciplinary leadership of Cluster Controllers, including their professional and personal development
- Continuous optimization of controlling processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
YOUR PROFILE:
Professional Competencies & Education
- Solid knowledge of the reporting standard USALI (11th Edition)
- Strong understanding of accounting standards and preparation of individual financial statements in the hotel industry
- Ideally completed training as a Chartered Accountant or equivalent controlling qualification
- Practical/operational background in hospitality or tourism is a plus
- Experience with hotel-specific IT systems (Accounting, Inventory, Purchasing, PMS, POS, Reporting)

Professional Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in Finance/Controlling (e.g., Financial Controller / Director of Finance), preferably within an international hotel chain (e.g., Marriott, IHG, Accor …)
- At least 2 years in a cluster and/or complex role
- Experience in leading multicultural teams is an advantage
- Initial exposure to group consolidation desirable
Languages
- Fluent in German and English (mandatory)
- Italian and/or Croatian advantageous

For this position, we offer a monthly gross salary of € 6000,-. Depending on qualifications and professional experience, overpayment is possible.
