Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Scaffolding Product Manager for the DACH Region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) whom will be:
- The main regional contact for product development / knowledge and product introduction to the marketplace including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with sales, engineering, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
- Lead and coordinate the European product compliance, technical certifications, and approvals process for our Ringlock scaffolding systems. This role is critical in ensuring our products meet international safety standards, regional regulations, and customer-specific requirements across diverse markets.
Qualifications
Your tasks
- Supporting Regional product portfolio, monitoring success of products in the market place
- Continuously coach and develop sales team to raise their product competence level and conduct ongoing product knowledge training sessions (familiarization training)
- Identify areas of growth potential and support with development of strategic plans for defined areas of focus
- Cooperate / Lead projects within the product innovation process, product introduction, product improvement and product re-launch
- Support on Documentation Creation (User Information, New Product Info sheets…)
- Own and manage the product approval roadmap across multiple European Markets
- Drive and coordinate submission processes for third-party testing, certifications, and engineering assessments.
- Liaise with external certification bodies, regulatory agencies, and industry associations to maintain up-to-date compliance and standard alignment.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to gather technical documentation (drawings, load tables, structural calcs, manuals) needed for submissions.
- Support commercial teams with compliance documentation and technical input for tenders, client approvals, and regional market access.
- Stay informed on changes in standards and regulations impacting product compliance in target markets.
- Lead internal audits and assessments of product conformance and approval gaps.
- Contribute to product launch processes by ensuring all certification and compliance items are fulfilled pre-market.
- Work closely with global branches to support local authority submissions and technical inquiries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred in an engineering/technical undergraduate discipline and / or 10+ years’ experience related to the European Scaffolding market.
- Strong leadership skills with ability to indirectly manage and influence a diverse team to achieve desired results.
- Thorough knowledge of business model and the various aspects of the scaffolding business.
- Previous industry experience and customer service skills.
- German speaker is mandatory
- Excellent communication skills including an excellent command of English (speaking, reading, writing).
- Qualitative abilities including strong analytical skills, technical proficiency and effective problem-solving skills.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office applications and other business programs / applications.
- Familiar with business processes within Europe, preferred.
- Able to work as an organized team player in a results-driven, fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel within the region or internationally up to 33%.
