Samsung SDI Battery Systems is a global technology leader in e-mobility. Together with our customers in the automotive industry, we develop and test innovative battery systems for automotive applications based on state-of-the-art lithium ion technology.
The technology center of Samsung SDI Battery Systems is located in Kalsdorf, Austria, close to Graz. Samsung SDI is a full-service supplier for lithium ion cells, battery modules and battery packs for all electric vehicles as well as all types of hybrid vehicles.
Your core responsibilities are:
- Leading supplier coordination in projects and evaluation of offers with commercial analysis (Cost-Break-Downs, Cost Analysis Tools)
- Leading the Sourcing Process within projects together with presentations and nomination proposals on global and regional level
- Follow the supplier qualification process through supporting relevant SQE Teams
- Monitor Supplier Score-cards and perform supplier evaluations based on their performance
- Negotiate and conclude nomination contracts with suppliers
- Perform and provide cost calculations in projects
- Work as part of Project Core Team within projects together with other relevant departments and project team members
- Close cooperation with the strategic purchasing team to monitor the supplier performance in the running projects (Supplier-Relationship-Management)
- Cooperate with project logistics on components availability process and lead needed actions if necessary
- Working closely with purchasing members of other Samsung SDI plants and support with leading tasks if necessary
What you need is:
- Completed technical or commercial education
- Several years of experience in project purchasing or related area
- Basic knowledge in commercial and contract law
- Very good negotiations skills
- Proactive and flexible personality with good analytical skills and stress resistance
- basic knowledge and understanding of the related production processes and very good cost awareness
- Good knowledge of MS Office and SAP usage
- Very good communication skills in English
- Readiness for business trips (20%)
Our offer for you:
With regard to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act, we offer the following annual gross remuneration (38.5 hours) as a basis for negotiations for this position: EUR 47.600,-
We also offer a market-standard overpayment depending on relevant work experience and qualifications.
