Here's what we're looking for:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior DevOps Engineer, who will work closely with their backend colleagues, and who ideally has built digital products and platforms. As a code-magician, you will support our efforts to improve the digital health ecosystem. You will contribute with your knowledge on AWS, Kubernetes and CI/CD within our platform team. As a flexible and open-minded person with a passion for clean code you will be a perfect addition to our team. You will be part of the RIS Platform Engineering chapter working on our Navify platform.
Your upcoming mission
Development: build the necessary infrastructure to support our platform components and services end to end, from development to operations
Continuous Delivery & Monitoring: Facilitate and evolve the software stack integration with our existing CI/CD pipeline
Process & Operations: Ensure continuous monitoring solutions cover all operations requirements and enable continuous improvement of our platform.
Leadership: Ensure a culture that values technical excellence together with support and compassion for individuals
Evangelism: As a key evangelist, you will work to evangelize a healthy DevOps software development and operations practices within the Roche Engineering Community
Essentials skills for your mission:
At least 5 years of experience working in the software industry, including 2 years of experience with contemporary platforms extended from cloud technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Helm charts, or Kustomize) and AWS services such as IAM, S3, SQS, API Gateway, and Lambda.
Experience in contemporary platforms extended from cloud (Docker containers and Kubernetes)
Experience automating using infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform, Ansible or Packer)
Hands on automation of operations using configuration management tools (Ansible or Saltstack)
Experience in CI/CD, Internal tooling and production operations:
CI Tooling (e.g. Gitlab, Jenkins , SonarQube, Whitesource, Registry/Artifactory)
CD Tooling (e.g. Helm, Argo CD)
Continuous Monitoring tooling (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Alert Manager, ElasticSearch)
Hands on System Administration experience with unix based systems including system configuration and networking
Bonus skills:
Experience in Production Continuous Monitoring environments covering all modules of the platform and infrastructure (Software, Operating System, Networking, Hardware)
Previous SRE experience
Hands on experience in other cloud providers (Azure, GCP, AliCloud)
Scripting exp. highly desired, using shell, python, ruby or similar languages

In Austria, we have a legal obligation to disclose the minimum salary according to our collective agreement, which is gross EUR 3.843 - per month for this position. But! Rest assured, we offer amazing competitive compensation packages which take into consideration current market trends, therefore you can expect a higher offer that reflects your experience level.
