DESCRIPTION
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Solutions Architect to join our thriving technical community and growing business in Austria as part of the Austrian Commercial Team at our Vienna office. As a member of our supportive team, you'll work to bring cloud computing technologies to large enterprise customers, including businesses in manufacturing, media, betting & gaming, retail and other verticals.
Key job responsibilities
In your role as an AWS Solutions Architect, you'll take ownership of the technical relationship with customers, providing expert recommendations on solution design, migration strategies, security, and best-practice architectures. Your influence will extend beyond customer interactions, as you'll also act as an internal advocate, driving continuous improvements to the AWS platform based on customer needs and feedback. You'll contribute to the AWS knowledge base by creating and sharing best practices, technical content, and new reference architectures. Additionally, you'll play a crucial role in educating and evangelizing about AWS technology through various channels, helping to expand our reach and influence in the industry.
You should bring a builder's mindset and startup mentality, with the ability to move fast, experiment, and drive innovation, particularly in emerging technologies like Generative AI and Agentic AI. Above all, we're looking for individuals with a passion for technology and a commitment to continuous learning in this rapidly evolving industry.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Background in any of the following: Cloud Architecture, Solution Architecture, Systems Design, Software Development, Machine Learning, Generative AI or Data Engineering & Analytics
- Strong business acumen demonstrated through experience engaging with both Business and IT decision makers driving strategic initiatives
- Industry and domain experience at Enterprise companies or at a Consulting company
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with business-fluent English
- A passion for technology and for learning
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with AWS technologies and cloud native architectures
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
- Experience working in a customer-facing role
- Cloud Technology Certifications (e.g. AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional) or other industry certifications
- Business level German language skills is a plus
