As a Financial Controller within the Vienna-based CEE HUB, you will play an important role in overseeing operational controlling tasks for our six CEE affiliates (Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Slovenia, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic).
Main Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for monthly financial closings and actively participate in year-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance in management reporting.
- Provide ongoing financial reporting that includes thorough preparation and communication of variance analyses to identify key trends and variances from budgets.
- Support local management and affiliates in CEE during planning processes, including budgeting and forecasting activities that drive financial performance.
- Engage in the continuous development and optimization of internal processes and reporting systems within the controlling function, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with the Accounting team as well as local departments and affiliates to foster a cohesive financial environment and ensure alignment in financial objectives.
Experience Required
- A completed degree in Business Administration, with a focus on Controlling, Finance, or a related field is essential to succeed in this role.
- 3-5 years of relevant professional experience within Controlling or Accounting is required, preferably in an international context, to help navigate the complexities of cross-border finance.
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office applications and SAP is necessary to effectively manage financial data and reporting tasks.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential; knowledge of German is a significant advantage that will aid in communication with local partners.
- You should possess strong analytical skills and a high level of numerical affinity, enabling you to dissect financial data and draw actionable conclusions.
- A precise, independent, and structured approach to work is fundamental, as attention to detail is critical in financial roles.
- Exhibit a high level of reliability and motivation coupled with a genuine willingness to learn and grow professionally.
