As a Nutrition specialist you support this mission mainly in the field of nutrition. In that role you are a contributer to a successful rehabilitation and performance visit of an athlete at the APC. You are part of an interdisciplinary team around an athlete and therefore a constant driver of accelerating an athletes' performance. With your science based work you also add to the high quality standards of the APC.
Job Description
Nutritional Assessment and Consulting
Provide one-on-one and group nutrition counseling for athletes and sports teams, focusing on both performance and overall health.
Use clinical expertise to address specific dietary needs related to injury recovery, medical conditions, and regeneration between training sessions.
Support body composition management (e.g., healthy weight gain or loss) tailored to the demands of individual sport disciplines.
Counseling on supplements, as well as the corresponding compliance to the Anti-Doping regulations
Measurement of physiological profiling to inform nutritional interventions
Provide education experiences with the athletes (eg. supermarket visits, cooking classes)
Documentation of the provided counseling
Participating in meetings with the global nutrition team
Implement nutrition strategies in line with the existing APC nutrition framework
Project work
Create education materials for nutritional consultations
Active part of a global team of nutritionists (APC LA based Team, nutritionists of different Red Bull team sports)
Support performance projects (eg. development of a sweat rate protocol, InField visits)
Drive nutritional strategies and philosophy at the APC
Overlook breakfast and lunch catering (decisions on menus, energy supply and workflow in the athelte lounge)
Qualifications
Trained Dietitian or Performance Nutritionist with demonstrable education and skills in sports science.
Proven experience working with athletes in a performance or clinical setting.
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with the ability to interpret and apply the latest research.
Excellent grasp of current literature in sports nutrition and dietetics.
Creative, out-of-the-box thinking to develop innovative nutrition solutions tailored to athletes' needs.
A strong team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluency in English.
Outstanding organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.
Demonstrates a strong work ethic by consistently going the extra mile to ensure tasks are completed to the highest standard and within deadlines.
Formal education as Sports Nutritionist / Sports Dietitian
