This is a responsible, key holding position, assisting the Residence Management team in ensuring the smooth day to day running of the Student Residences. Undertake all day to day tasks, duties & emergency response during hours of work and to be available at residences to deal with any resident queries, concerns or problems. RLAs are to actively encourage & promote the residence life concept and encourage a sense of community spirit and social learning/development whilst undertaking their role. Successful applicants must show initiative for problem solving, empathy for student issues, and enthusiasm for the role.

Residence Life Assistant
(Full time 37 hours per week, including weekends and evenings on a shift rostered basis)

We have an exciting opportunity to work as part of our Solent residences team, delivering a high standard of customer service and enhancing the residences life experience of our students who come to live with us in student residences each year.
Working as part of a cross-residence team, the role involves providing daytime, evening and weekend support to our resident students. As well as undertaking day to day tasks around the residences, you will need to have a friendly and professional approach to dealing with all types of residence and student issues, as well as being able to support & encourage our students in developing & enjoying their ‘residence life’ experience.
