Job Description
IN A NUTSHELL
For this 2-year maternity cover, you’ll play a key role in advancing Red Bull’s global podcast strategy, creating impact in three core areas: developing owned podcasts/vodcasts, collaborating with 3rd party podcasts, and expanding the Red Bull network of Athlete and Creator-led Podcasts. Working closely with the Senior Producer, you’ll contribute to ideation, development, and, where needed, the production of podcast formats—both centrally and in collaboration with local markets and audience teams. You’ll support the organisation by providing training and showcasing best-in-class examples. Partnering with Communication, Creator Marketing, and Content Teams, you’ll help implement an optimal strategy for working with existing podcasters. As an advocate for audio across the Global Media Network, you’ll work with HQ teams to define standards, share expertise, and identify opportunities in the audio space..
3RD PARTY PODCAST STRATEGY (40%)
You’ll continue Red Bull’s strategy of collaborating with existing podcasts, working closely with Communication, Creator Marketing, and Content teams. In this role, you’ll create guidance, develop case studies, and educate the organisation on how to identify, select, and build strong relationships in this area. You’ll implement opportunities for collaboration with existing podcasts to amplify key projects and reach new audiences. Additionally, you’ll work closely with networks and countries on their strategies, gathering learnings and successes to shape case studies and best practices. Finally, you’ll identify HQ-led opportunities and collaborate with the relevant teams to bring them to life.
GLOBAL AUDIO STRATEGY (40%)
In this role, you’ll engage Red Bull Media House teams to make an impact in audio, whether through owned podcasts, supporting athletes and creators with their podcasts, or collaborating with 3rd party podcasts. You’ll identify trends, opportunities, and innovations in the audio space, acting as a consultant to the organisation on podcast-related topics and providing updates on the evolving audio landscape. You’ll also educate local markets by sharing guidelines and running workshops and webinars, from 3rd party podcasts to owned productions. Additionally, you’ll foster relationships with audio distribution partners, production teams, and emerging audio channels.
MANAGER, AUDIO TEAM (20%)
In this role, you’ll support the Senior Producer in developing and producing key audio formats for Red Bull centrally, with a strong focus on co-productions, partnerships, and innovation. You’ll act as the main point of contact for the partnerships team, helping to identify and execute opportunities. Additionally, you’ll contribute to the growth of the athlete and creator podcast program. For owned podcasts, you’ll work alongside the Senior Producer to consult on production, programming, distribution, and activation strategies.
Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience in the podcast industry.
- Production experience on successful podcast/vodcast production
- Strategy and Benchmarking, identifying trends and scoping out opportunities in the audio landscape.
- Able to support and provide consultation to local markets and all entities on their audio needs and ambitions.
- Have a good network within the audio space, including production companies, networks, marketing & PR, hosts, and platforms. Ability to foster and build relationships.
- Ability to represent audio and consult in the area to the wider business (e.g. partnerships, advertising, branding, platforms, distribution).
Additional Information
Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary according to the collective agreement for this position, which is €2.303 gross per month. However, our attractive compensation package is based on market-oriented salaries and is therefore significantly above the stated minimum salary.
