The position
As of now we are seeking for a Global Cost Management Unit Lead to support the Global Cost Management group. In this role, you will manage an international team of 6 employees. Together with the team, you ensure Cost Management excellence and execution of finance related responsibilities for all vendors and trial related services.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Lead and develop an international team of experienced cost managers in an agile environment, fostering talent and supporting organizational and cultural growth
- Ensure the global implementation and execution of clinical trial budget processes, including cost center calculations, payment tracking, and budget vs. actual reporting.
- Monitor cost management activities to ensure accuracy, identify opportunities for process improvements, and uphold high standards in cost calculations.
- Act as a key contact for global projects, collaborating with internal stakeholders to support budget discussions and ensure smooth financial operations.
- Ensure adherence to internal guidelines and external standards (e.g., ICH-GCP), maintaining compliance across all cost-related processes and activities.
Requirements
- University degree in Business Administration or equivalent qualification
- Proven leadership skills in matrix organizations or through lateral leadership, with the ability to inspire and guide teams effectively
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in cost management, ideally within clinical or project-based environments
- Ability to communicate complex content and strategies clearly, paired with a structured and proactive approach to managing challenges
- Deep understanding of teamwork in multicultural settings, self-awareness in performance and stakeholder interactions, and fluency in English (written and spoken)

The remuneration for this position starts at EUR 75.000 gross annual target salary per year (full time). The actual salary package depends on professional experience and qualifications. We will be happy to discuss further details in person.
