Junior Group Government & Stakeholder Affairs Officer (f/m/x) - EU Office in Brussels

Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI) is part of the Austrian Raiffeisen Banking Group. Our Group Government & Stakeholder Affairs division is the central hub for managing political and legislative engagement at national, EU, and international levels. We coordinate political strategies, develop policy positions, and maintain continuous dialogue with key stakeholders, including policymakers, regulators, and trade associations, to advocate for fair and innovation-friendly regulation.

We are seeking a motivated Junior Officer to support direct engagement with EU institutions (European Parliament, European Commission, Council representatives) and relevant stakeholders (industry associations, think tanks).

Please note that this role is limited to a duration of 3 years.

Your role at RBI:

• Support in monitoring political, legislative, and regulatory developments at EU level, including preparation of reports, concise analyses and briefings.
• Assist in the preparation, organization, and follow-up of meetings with stakeholders, including MEPs, Commission officials, and industry representatives.
• Contribute to position papers, presentations, and internal communication materials.
• Play a role in alignment and coherence of political and regulatory strategies.
• Contribute to the mapping and development of RBI’s stakeholder network in Brussels.
Help prepare speaking points, background materials, and policy briefings for senior bank representatives.

Your core competencies:

• University degree in political science, economics, law, European studies, or related fields.
• Relevant internship or work experience in EU affairs, government relations, or financial services.
• Interest in European politics, financial services, and regulatory developments, with a solid understanding of EU processes and the banking sector.
• Excellent writing and communication skills in German and English, with attention to detail in document review and reporting.
• Ability to analyze complex legislative documents and identify key issues impacting the organization.
Proficient in managing multiple tasks, prioritizing effectively, and preparing for meetings and events.

Nice To Have:

• First-hand experience in EU institutions, representation offices, industry associations, or consultancy.
• Proficiency in another official EU language.
• Experience with drafting policy papers, position statements, or advocacy material.
• Proactive approach in tracking legislative developments and proposing strategic actions.
Adaptability to changing political landscapes and organizational needs.
