As Lead Category Manager (m/f/d) you will shape and execute global sourcing strategies for our indirect Sourcing function. Your Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement global sourcing strategies
- Lead supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management to secure optimal terms
- Build and nurture relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Monitor market trends, identify risks/opportunities, and drive cost reduction initiatives
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards
- Manage supplier performance (quality, delivery, service levels)
- Support cross-functional teams in project execution and problem resolution
- Analyze spend data, prepare reports, and present findings to management
- Lead or participate in global/regional procurement projects
Your Profile:
- Several years’ experience in strategic procurement or commodity management
- Degree in business administration or similar
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience in a global, matrixed organization is a plus
- Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
- Willingness to travel internationally (up to 10%)
The base pay is composed of the amount according to the Austrian collective agreement which is at least EUR 4.269,07 gross per month (x14) and an over payment depending on your qualifications and experience.
