EEMCO is a cutting-edge deep-tech spin-off dedicated to revolutionizing Silicon Carbide (SiC) crystal growth. With proprietary capabilities in the production of high-quality 8-inch (200mm) SiC wafers, we aim to transform the performance, economics, and scalability of materials powering the future of power electronics, electric vehicles, and industrial systems.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Project & Program Manager to manage the development and industrialization of advanced semiconductor materials, with a primary focus on SiC crystal growth. You will independently manage complex, cross-functional projects that span multiple disciplines from R&D and engineering to production and commercialization. Your role will be pivotal in aligning stakeholders, mitigating risks, and ensuring that projects are executed on time, within scope, and to specification.

TASKS

• Project Leadership
• Independently manage and lead multi-phase, high-impact projects in crystal growth technologies (e.g., SiC boules/pucks, sapphire ingots).
• Serve as the central point of coordination between internal departments (R&D, Engineering, Production) and external stakeholders.
• Perform regular project/program risk management, early identification, resolution, and timely closure of critical decisions.
• Manage several key projects in parallel or singular large programs and communicate effectively and efficiently to team members and stakeholders.

• Problem Solving & Execution
• Identify, assess, and mitigate technical and operational risks through proactive project planning and bottom-up dependency mapping and ensure consistent alignment between project execution and business objectives.

• Communication & Reporting
• Provide transparent and structured updates on project progress, milestones, budget adherence, and key decisions to internal leadership and external partners.

PROFILE

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Physics, Process Engineering or a related field with at least 5 years of work experience, including 3 years of leading technical development projects.
• Familiarity with complex semiconductor materials development workflows.
• Proficient in selecting, scaling, and applying project management tools and methodologies to suit varying project contexts.
• Strong intercultural communication skills and experience leading global teams.
• Experience with conflict management across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking ability and problem-solving skills.
• Experienced in maintaining, analyzing, and retrieving technical and non-technical data, records, and reports. Ability to create action plans based on the analysis.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail with ability to work independently, as part of a team and drive team members and tasks.
• Project Management training and/or certification a plus. PMP or IPMA Certification (Level C or higher preferred).
• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project.
• Proficient in German (English considered as a plus).

We offer an attractive salary in line with the market, depending on qualifications and professional experience. The minimum gross basic salary according to the collective agreement in trades, crafts, and in the service sector based on full-time employment is 48,894 euros per year.
