As Sourcing Manager you are responsible to give our product designs the body to bring them to life. You do this by architecting the best electronic and mechanical supply base to support our high standards and growth. Together with the Design - Team you will be in charge to identify proper suppliers and engage with them early on in the design cycle.

Your area of responsibility
- Design and execute the sourcing strategy and create relationships with the supply base
- Create should cost models and find matching suppliers and alternative options
- Support new product development and introduction (NPI) in close co-operation with our Product Design Team and the Operations Team
- Manage Bill of Materials (BOM) and Request for Quotations (RFQ) of new parts and products
- Act as Project Manager for component and tool procurement up until start of production
- Propose innovations and improvements to optimise the TCO that also include design to cost / engineer to cost and design to manufacturing practices
- Own the relationship with the supply base throughout the whole life cycle
- Have fun working in a team that is charged for e-mobility
It would be great if you have
- 5+ years of experience in sourcing electronic and mechanical components
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to communicate and collaborate across cross functional teams at all levels throughout the organization
- Technical affinity and understanding of production processes for electronic and mechanical components
- Analytical skills to identify cost drivers, savings potential and continuous improvement
- Experience in leading technical negotiations through should costing models
- Excellent spoken and written English (C1 Level)
It would be even better if you have
- Understanding of Engineer-to-cost / Design-to-cost, NPI and Product Life Cycle and working evidence
- Contract management and compliance working knowledge
- Experience in working in the electronics industry
- Designed consumer goods yourself
- Already worked with different suppliers in Europe and Asia
- German language skills (spoken & written) are advantageous
