We’re looking for a talented Data Modeler & Engineer to join our CRM Data team, part of the CRM Data & Insights Product Family, and help us build robust, scalable, and business-driven data solutions in the dynamic world of retail.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in designing and maintaining data models that support customer-centric decision-making across the organization. While your primary focus will be on data modeling, we’re also looking for someone with hands-on experience in data engineering - someone who can bring models to life through efficient data pipelines and modern architecture.
Job Description
- Design, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models tailored to business needs, with a strong focus on customer and CRM-related data
- Implement historization techniques such as Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD-1, SCD-2, etc.) to ensure accurate tracking of data changes over time
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable and easy to maintain data structures
- Build and optimize data pipelines and transformation workflows to support data model implementation and data quality
- Ensure data consistency, lineage, and governance across systems and domains
- Continuously improve and refactor existing data models to align with evolving business needs and technical standards
- Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for data modeling and engineering within the team
- Support the data engineers during implementation
Qualifications
- Strong experience in data modeling, including dimensional modeling, normalization/denormalization, and historization strategies
- Solid understanding of data engineering principles and ability to implement data models in production environments
- Hands-on mindset with the ability to design, build, and troubleshoot data solutions end-to-end
- Experience working with large datasets and complex data ecosystems
- Familiarity with modern data platforms and tools (e.g., Snowflake, dbt, GCP, Airflow) is a plus, but not a requirement
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and data quality
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
- Experience in the retail or crm sector is a nice-to-have
- High level of personal responsibility and ability to learn new technologies in a fast-paced environment
- You have good communication and visualization skills
