We are looking for a Sourcing Intern to support procurement activities for base engine components of large bore industrial gas engines produced in Jenbach, Austria. The successful candidate will have a supporting role within the INNIO Direct Material Procurement Team with procurement responsibilities for the core components of an industrial piston engine in close collaboration with world class producers of engine parts (iron foundires, steel forges, precision machinig centers) mainly in Europe, but also around the World. The Direct Materials Procurement team at INNIO is responsible for all procurement activities which are required to ensure on-time delivery of cost effective materials which meet the highest standards in quality. The INNIO Procurement team are an essential part of INNIO’s operation as well as pivotal in ensuring that INNIO’s future products continue to exceed market and customer expectations. This position is located at INNIOs headquarters in Jenbach.

Your responsibilities:
- Support strategic buyers on contractual negotiations with data preparation, facilitation, analytical and presentation material.
- Assist in the preparation and follow-up of Supplier Improvement Plans in the event of poor supplier performance.
- Support research on potential suppliers and assess their capabilities, pricing, and reputation. Assist in supplier performance evaluations.
- Support purchasing initiatives such as forecasting market trends and tracking Cost Savings Plans and Supply Chain Resilience Projects
- Support the strategic procurement team on achieving key targets by preparing and presenting performance trends and forecasts.
- Help with internal workshops with INNIO engineering and manufacturing on key projects. Support and facilitate workshops with key suppliers at INNIO site and also at supplier’s facilities. (Occasional business travel will be needed)
- Bachelor or master’s degree or ongoing studies in economics or in a technical field (e.g., industrial engineering, mechanical, electrical or process engineering)
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong analytical and presentation skills, experience with MS-Office and an advanced level in Excel
- Strong customer service mindset and communication skills
- Fluent in German OR English, further language skills are a plus
The base pay is composed of the amount according to the Austrian collective agreement which is at least EUR 2.645,68 gross per month (x 14).
